for some reason i just c a n t draw papyruses. there’s something about the face?? i think i get caught up between the decision to either stylise or make it anatomically sound, and it trips me up.
these two are the first of stretch to turn out well! which is good, bc if i’m gonna actually do that comic i said i was gonna do, im gonna have to learn how papyruses work, and fast

And the last and third thing I drew in drawpile today, which I really like how it turned out even though his eyes and stuff is a bit wonky but otherwise it turned out pretty damn good! I love drawing lineless in drawpile because then I usually don’t even make some sort of base I just use the colours and like build it up as if I was painting irl, though in real life I would sketch up a proper base sketch first though xD
Still really like how this turned out, I always go for red, orange and yellow when I decide to paint one of these, because I really like them and they look so good together, should totally try out painting with other colours sometime but we shall see when that happens, I pretty much gave up with the smoke and I just now realized maybe I shoulda added a bit of shadow underneath the cigarette, but too late now tho, really like how this turned out anyway hella lots of fun to do <:
I’ve been fooling around too much with this little animations, i downloaded Fire Alpaca and it’s really comfortable to work with since i’m used to Medibang.
