Edge sat back on his heels, surveying his work. He checked it against the book, nodding to himself. Then he closed the book, closed his sockets, and tried to call up the image in his mind. (Small fingers tight around a piece a chalk. Shaking bones rattling with fear. Marrow and mana gumming his newly cracked socket.) He opened his sockets and his shoulders sagged in defeat. He couldn’t remember. Truly.
The uncomfortable past comes creeping back as Rus begins to lose control of his hunger. Thankfully, Edge has a solution to the situation. A solution… perhaps a little more intimate than he realises–and one that calls for a softer approach. Rus begins to see the more broken side of his captor. And the familiarity, while jarring, is somewhat comforting.

At last, I have updated! Sorry it’s taken so long. I hit a bit of a block with this chapter, but I managed to figure it out. This chapter is written from Rus’s point of view. (And things are not happy inside this poor vampire boy’s head).

Edge
By himself: Very rigid sleeping position. Lies on his back (it’s the quickest way to jump up should an attack happen in the night), arms often folded on his chest or at his sides. Silent sleeper. (Though when he gets comfortable with someone, he’s rumoured to snore).
With his lovers: Normally with his arms around them, sort of a protective pose. He’ll often sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door, and he’ll often angle himself in such a way that shields his partners from the door. He does still like his personal space however, and often prefers to sleep without physical contact (just knowing his partner(s) are there is comforting to him).
Rus
By himself: Curled up on his side or sprawled out in his stomach. The boy has a hard time finding a comfortable sleeping position and is a very restless sleeper, often changing positions and turning over throughout the night. He doesn’t snore, but he’ll often sleep with his mouth partially open (has been accused of drooling).
With his lovers: he’ll try to go for as much physical contact as he can. He likes cuddling up against his partners’ sides, or being enveloped in their arms. It makes him feel safe and cherished.
Slim
By himself: Takes up as little space as he can when sleeping (not deliberately, he does it…. unconsciously 😉 ). He often curls up on his side (always facing the door) and tucks himself in as much as he can.
With his lovers: Slim is tentative to initiate physical contact, but if his partner(s) display any sort of physical affection he immediately becomes loving. He’s not so much into outright cuddling, but he likes hand holding or any form of touch—just as an assurance that his parnter is there, and that they want him.
Cash
By himself: Cash doesn’t sleep well. He’s always half awake and is constantly getting up throughout the night. He sleeps best on his side, often with a weapon of some sort under his pillow. When he does get to sleep, he’s twitchy and restless.
With his lovers: Once he’s adapted to the relationship, Cash sleeps a lot better—too much, even. He’s almost making up for lost time. He won’t admit to liking cuddling, but he secretly enjoys being the little spoon (especially if his parnter initiates the contact. It makes him feel wanted.)
Twist
By himself: Twist sprawls himself out while sleeping. He takes up as much space as he can (whether or not it’s a conscious decision or just something he enjoys doing is up to interpretation). He mostly sleeps on his front, but he’ll often start on his back and wake up in a completely different position. Light sleeper, but good at pretending not to be.
With his lovers: Giant teddy bear. Twist loves cuddling—especially with multiple people at a time, and especially when he gets to be the “big spoon” (or just the cuddler not the cudlee). It’s comforting for him to have his partner(s) in his arms, knowing they’re with him and that they want to be with him.
