This was just fantastic. Such a simple story, but there’s so much more going on here. I really like that Edge was the one dealing with a nightmare, for a change. Because OF COURSE he would. He’s from a dark world. He’s bound to have memories haunting him.

And then the Spicyhoney. You write them so well in domestic situations. This was tender and comforting, despite the sliver of angst beneath. The way Stretch just knows how to make Edge feel better… ❤️💛 Really awesome work.

I have so much I could say about this, but I don’t even know where to begin. Well, for starters, this was just amazing worldbuilding. You already have a feel for the characters and their lives, as well as the societal setting. And there’s a very particular emotion at play here. I love the damp mood, but there’s a subtle thread of comfort in there too.

And the characters. They just mesh together so well. I absolutely love how you portrayed Rus here. Protective of his dragon, and slightly nihilistic, slightly laid-back. “hey, life sucks, may as well take what we can get”. He and Edge have a chemistry that’s very different from what you normally see for them (though at the same time, you can still see the elements of your typical Spicyhoney in there).

This was so beautifully written, especially for its short length. If you ever decide to pick up on this later, I’ll definitely be there for it!

Sequel to Slowing Your Roll

Summary: After being trapped for a week in Underswap, Edge and Red are back home. But all is not well in Underfell and Edge is living up to his name.

Notes: So, now we finally get to see Underfell. I don’t think I need to warn anyone that it’s not a nice place but I am anyway. Things are darker on the other side. Be warned.

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed Slowing Your Roll, I’m very excited for this. One chapter in, and it already holds so much promise. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re looking for some good Spicyhoney and Underfell bullshit.
