(Might contain very mild spoilers for Ch. 3 of Compound Fracture.)

So, Undyne and Papyrus have cooking lessons, right? Well, what do Edge and Felldyne do then? I mean, I headcanon that Edge is already a decent cook, so maybe he teaches her? Possible. But consider this instead:

Felldyne plays the piano to unwind at the end of the day. It’s her coping mechanism, the way she reminds herself that she’s more than the agent of a corrupt king or a LOVE-fueled murder machine. She can still create beauty, can still appreciate it. So, of course she would want to share that with her protege; he needs to be reminded of his own basic nature, too.

Unfortunately, Edge doesn’t have a musical bone in his body. His fingers fumble over the keys, and he can’t keep time to save his life. In a word, he’s terrible. But they keep at it. In part because Edge refuses to let a damn piano best him. In part because Felldyne won’t let him quit. And, most importantly, because it still reminds them that there is more to life than pain and death and dust.

There is still music, even in Underfell.

I apologise for tainting your heartwarming thoughts with my shitpost but I immediately had to think of this gif omfg

A man and his instrument

US Sans/SF Papyrus? (I was sort of thinking of throwing this into one of my fics so I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!)

These two are so precious together. They really are.

The moment Blue meets Slim, all his brotherly instincts come to the fore. He wants to cuddle and protect and fuss over this sad, small version of his brother. But Slim is wary. In general, but also of Blue in particular. Blue’s energy and enthusiasm is intimidating, and his apparent interest in Slim puts him on guard.

Still…the affection Blue offers so freely is completely intoxicating to Slim. It isn’t long before Blue has him completely in thrall. Thankfully, Blue doesn’t use that for his own benefit, but to shower Slim with love and praise. Things are incredibly easy between them. Relaxed and comfortable and good.

Alright, that’s the last one! Thank you all, this has been fun–we’ll have to do it again sometime. : )
