In complete honesty, I think your Blue was the first to draw me down the Strong Blue™ path! I guess I owe thanks to this comic as well – it’s a quality headcanon.
I love me an anxious, unsociable, honestly poor boi of a Red like anyone else. I’ve written him that way in more than one thing, and I don’t mind reading him like that in some fics. At least, as long as they aren’t cookie-cutter HoneyMustard, Abusive Fell fics.
But sometimes, sometimes I get a craving for a much different kind of Underfell Sans. Sometimes, I get in a mood, and all I want from Red is a certain kind of rage that I know he’s capable of.
Sometimes I want a Red that isn’t at all afraid of dusting someone if he has to, and is more than capable of doing so. He’s a fuckin’ Sans, Judge of the Underground, older brother to one of the strongest monsters that lives. He’ll throw down and have a great fucking time doing it.
Sometimes I want a Red that loves antagonizing other people just because there’s literally nothing they can do to get him back. He loves pissing people off, just because he can. His pranks are a large source of this, either being the modified joy buzzer he keeps on his at all times or the fake money he keeps in his pockets for anyone dumb enough to pickpocket him.
I want a Red that cares about his brother more than anything. That would do anything to keep him safe, even though he knows Fell can take care of himself, and God help any monster or human dumb enough to threaten his brother’s safety while anywhere in Red’s vicinity.
I want a Red that’s strong, honestly an asshole, but you love him for it.

I’m not following any traditional ‘canon’ for these guys. I know that. I’m not trying to be accurate to anyone’s headcanons but my own. I’m just letting you know how I would portray these characters if you were going to request them for a drabble or headcanon post.

This was really beautiful, and then the last couple of lines just got depressing as fuck. Thank you, Kit.
So @crushingonsans was doing this thing with the Sanses (SPOILERS) that has specific questions about certain things for them. I decided, since I’m obsessed with Papyrus, that I’d do it for the Papys. But there’s like 100 of the questions lol So I thought I’d post them in parts as I get them done. Here is the first batch 😀
1. What do they smell like?
Papyrus: Summer rain.
Fell: Pine and smoke.
Stretch: Something vaguely sweet and cigarette smoke.
Slim: Like home. Good food, clean atmosphere, cool nights.2. What is their voice like?
Papyrus: He’s mostly just unapologetically loud. When he’s not yelling (you know what you did, Sans) his voice is a little high, a tiny bit nasally, but it’s pleasant to listen to.
Fell: Rough and scratchy, a little deep but still higher than his brother’s.
Stretch: Smooth and vaguely scratchy, but mostly because he smokes
Slim: Smooth, deeper than Stretch’s but not as deep as Fell’s.3. What is their biggest motivator?
Papyrus: Helping others and his brother.
Fell: Protecting others and his brother.
Stretch: His brother and the people he cares about.
Slim: His brother. He doesn’t care a whole lot about anything else (at least until they get to the Surface).4. What is their most embarrassing memory?
Papyrus: This boy does not feel embarrassment. Every wrong is a mistake to learn from.
Fell: Red once found out that he kept his old baby blanket and the book they’d scavenged from the Dumb when he was a babybones, and even though Red never made fun of him he was still really embarrassed.
Stretch: Two words. Drunk singing.
Slim: He doesn’t get embarrassed often, but there was one time with a spider and a giant hole in the wall that he had to explain to his brother.5. How do they deal with/react to pain?
Papyrus: He works through it, distracts himself with anything else until he can take care of it. He might cry a little, but only a tiny bit!
Fell: Unless his entire arm is chopped off, he probably won’t notice he’s hurt until much later. Other things are usually more important at the time than a measly cut or scrape.
Stretch: It doesn’t matter if all he did was stub his toe, you’ll be hearing about it, loudly, for the next several hours. There will probably also be a lot of cussing.
Slim: He doesn’t feel pain. At all. It’s not that he just doesn’t notice it, or that his adrenaline is pumping so he can’t feel it, it’s that he can’t feel pain. His hand could get chopped off and it would mean nothing.
Dude, you have no idea. I am so, so tempted to ditch Muffet and throw him in with Rus and Red. Honestly, though, I think Muffet will serve a good narrative purpose, so I’m keeping her. For now.
I primarily ship him with Papyrus, but I’ll ship him with Edge or Stretch too. (Or Red. Or Blue. Or Sans. Seriously, guys, I have a problem.) As for a shipfic scenario….
Slim isn’t allowed to want things. Becuase he can never have what he wants, and if he somehow manages to aquire what he desires, then he can’t keep it. So when he starts developing feelings for his best friend, he cuts ties. Stops visiting the softer universe. Stops picking up the phone. Better to break it off now. Less painful this way.
Unfortunately, Papyrus isn’t the type to let go of his friends. (Particularly the ones he has more than platonic feelings for.) He’s going to find out what’s going on, even if he has to go to Swapfell to do it.
Okay, the following has references to BDSM, sadism, masochism, and references past abuse.
Using Broken Bones headcanons for this:
Edge has trouble letting go during sex. Not that he doesn’t want to, but it’s hard for him. He has to be very comfortable with his partners in order to do so. Most often, it’s just easier for him to take the lead. Honestly, though, I’d categorize him as a switch. It’s easier for him to let go around Blue because he’s so unintimidating. They’re pretty kinky, but it’s almost like a form of therapy for Edge—Blue helps Edge regain possession of himself and his sexuality. (For example, Edge is more comfortable with his pussy than his cock, because Muffet never knew he could summon a pussy so he still more easily identifies it as “his”, whereas it feels a little like he lost ownership of his cock. Blue helps him regain that sense of ownership by creating scenes that push his boundaries but provide him with a loving network of care and support.)
Paps tends to be very enthusiastic and even a little overwhelming during sex. He doesn’t mind being either submissive or dominant, but he’s all cock, all the time. Mostly due to some societal hang-ups. He’s slowly learning that he actually enjoys pain play, and light asphyxiation.

Rus is a sexual sadist. (Defined here as someone who enjoys being on the giving side of painplay.) He’s deeply ashamed of this, and thinks that there must be something wrong with him. It’s not right to enjoy seeing your partner in pain, right? That’s one of the reasons he stopped seeing Muffet—he noticed this facet of himself and bolted. It terrified him. Thankfully, Red is a bit more worldly, and is able to reassure him that there’s nothing wrong with him. He would never do anything his partner was uncomfortable with, and he wants his partner to enjoy themselves too. There’s nothing wrong with that. Red can give him some peace and a reason to accept this part of himself. Furthermore, as a masochist himsrlf, Red is delighted that his innocent-seeming bonefriend is more than willing to bite, scratch, and experiment with him. These guys are the very definition of Safe, Sane, snd Consensual, and their relationship is incredibly sweet and loving.
Okay, using my BB headcanons, Razz does not have the same relationship with Alphys as Edge does with his Undyne. Razz’s relationship was much more distant and reserved. The queen was always watching, and both of them were afraid to displease her by getting attached, so he wouldn’t necessarily have had cooking or music lessons.
I LOVE the idea of Slim playing an instrument—and playing it well—but I don’t know what he would have the opportunity to learn. But, yes, Slim and Paps are both musically inclined, though it’s more exaggerated in Slim. I like the idea of him being able to sing, of course, but a musical instrument seems so appropriate for him.
(Seriously, though, Paps can dance like nobody’s business when he’s properly motivated.)
Maybe Slim found a busted up instrument in the dump and taught himself and hid it until it was discovered and destroyed; maybe he mimicked NTT’s music on the TV and taught himself an instrument that way; maybe if he had no opportunity to play any instruments (or even if he did but they were broken or destroyed so he learned that he couldn’t risk hiding any more) then he taught himself to sing by just practicing whenever he was alone bc it filled the silence and it made him happy and maybe it made his baby brother smile when he was an infant and Slim’s heart swells with music and he just has to hide all of his happiness or else it is taken away.
(Also idk yet if his voice is merely rarely used or if his throat/neck was actually damaged somehow, but if his threat was damaged and there weren’t an established reason for it, it could be because he was caught singing or humming twice and thus punished harshly for disobedience)

Okay, so I mentioned that I had pretty strong feelings about this post, right? Right. Well, Fresh summed up my feelings about Edge/Fell pretty well. Rather than re-hashing what’s already been said, I’m going to take a look at another character: Blue, to be specific. My little discussion is below the cut, but before you venture down to take a look, please keep in mind that this is just my opinion. If you have other ideas about Blue’s characterization, that is A-OK by me. You do you. This is just the version of Blue I prefer to read and write about.
