5. Where do they feel safest?
I’m going to specifically use Paps and Edge from my Broken Bones universe for this.
Paps – With Edge. Specifically if he’s wearing Edge’s collar and close enough to touch. It’s very much a coping mechanism for him at this point.
Edge – In the Tale-verses. Particularly Underswap. He’s still a little tentative and on guard—honestly, that’s gonna take decades to fade—but he definitely feels safe there. Undyne’s house is his other safe place. He trusts her as much as he trusts his own brother—more, in some ways, because she’s generally more honest with him.
9. How do they like to sit?
Edge – back straight, ankles crossed, legs extended. If he’s tense, though, feet flat on the ground and ready to stand at a moment’s notice.
Rus – slouching, either curled into another person or a wall. He’ll also “manspread”. He drapes himself over things too. Especially when he’s trying to be humorously dramatic.

Lotus actually does have some minor training in combative magic. Back when he was a child, Gaster did force him into various simulated combat situations…and Lotus always refused to fight. His Gaster made it very clear from the beginning that he was custom made for killing and combat. Lotus rejected that to the point that Gaster considered him useless and sold him to Mettaton to be trained as a sweet-piece.
So Lotus is really what I would consider a pacifist. More so than Papyrus or Blue most definitely—Papyrus not only knows how to fight; he enjoys it (because his people don’t put any emphasis on killing). Blue hasn’t really been formally trained since they left the labs, but he does a lot of practice on his own and with Papyrus.
Additionally, as a sweet-piece, any preservation instincts Lotus had have been largely trained out of him. He’s essentially been trained to accept whatever blows he’s been dealt and to roll with them, rather than trying to struggle or fight back. Side note: this training is pretty critical to his survival, actually. When dealing with monsters high on EXP or monsters losing themselves to their LV, the best way to stay alive is to stay still and placid. Any attempt to escape or defend himself would likely only aggravate the monster further.
So, by and large, Lotus has excellent control over his body and magic—he faces down monsters that are completely lost to their LV without flinching and calms them with projections of peace and joy and love—but he really wouldn’t be good in a combat situation. He doesn’t want to fight, doesn’t like fighting, and has been trained in other ways of settling matters.
…that might change on the surface. Humans aren’t like monsters—even monsters with high LV—and they don’t respond to projections. I think Edge and Felldyne probably work with a lot of former sweet-pieces on the surface, teaching them self-defense. Even then, though, Lotus would rather incapacitate someone and run away as soon as possible than try to take them down. (Papyrus, by contrast, would like to perform what is called a “citizen’s arrest”. Lol.)

He wants to impress his crush, so he’ll stretch himself, doing things he’s not normally comfortable with. Things that he thinks would impress them. He’ll also become a lot more self-conscious of some of his stranger hobbies. He tries really hard to put forth his best face. Eventually, he finds himself torn between his need to impress and his need to be himself. It’s a house of cards, and it usually comes down on him hard. He often ends up hurt and heartbroken.
He does much better with “friends-to-lovers” as opposed to anything else, since he doesn’t feel that initial need to hide who he is.
💔: What doesn’t he like about being in love?
He doesn’t like not being able to control his emotions, and he doesn’t like how being in love affects his behavior.
Using my sadist headcanons, he’s also not fond of how his sadistic urges start acting up around his crush. It’s incredibly uncomfortable for him, and he ends up feeling as if he’s at war with himself.

I love this boy. Unreservedly. He has none of the salt or troubles his Typical counterpart has. He’s got his troubles and his painful history, and it just makes we want to bundle him up and cuddle him.
Who I ship:
The hoard! I love him with all of them. Especially with Edge…and Cash. Because I do love some sweet, sweet conflict. Fluffy ships don’t always work for me. I need some conflict and/or some angst. And the Cash/Rus dynamic definitely provides the former. (Rus himself provides the latter.)
BroTP:
Pup. He’s close with all of them, but he’s protective of Pup in a way he isn’t with the others.
Unpopular opinion:
He feels very different than Typical Rus, even if their characterizations are largely similar. I couldn’t tell you why, really, but…he just does.
I actually really like him when he gets more aggressive and shows his more demonic side. He’s usually a soft, sweet boy. But don’t give him a reason to fuck you up.

Ooh. Took me a long time to like this boy. Because he’s kind of an asshole, and he doesn’t dven have a Fell-verse excuse.
And I had a lot of fandom salt because he was always the one used as a foil for Edge. Always the “perfect” bro/lover for Red, in comparison to the abusive edgelord. Despite often being an asshole himself.He’s still not as interesting to me as the Fell boys—which is true of the Tale-verses in general—but I’m coming to appreciate him more and more. The thing is, he is a good foil for Edge—but he doesn’t have to be the pure good beanpole, and Edge doesn’t have to be the bad guy. They’re very different, but they’re complimentary.
So. I guess I’m saying I like him because of the way he relates to Edge.
Who I ship:
Edge. I don’t think I really like him with anyone else. Tale-verse/Tale-verse doesn’t do much for me, and neither does Lazy/Lazy. That really only leaves Twist and Razz. I like him with Twist? But not as much as I like Spicyhoney. (I can really say the same for Cash and Slim.)
And I do not like him with Razz. That’s a bit of a NoTP for me, unless you want to make it noncon. I’m down for most noncon with him, frankly.

Anything that gives his clit the best stimulation. Pap’s capable of getting off with his vag alone but it takes more work than his clients are usually willing to put in towards him. Definitely prefers giving oral. When receiving, like 3 times out of 4 it’s by some monster that’s trying to impress him with skill that they can’t actually back up. losing control as things progress and Stretch would be lazier and even more rambling
than normal. It’s easier for him to let go entirely and immerse himself in it

yes, if I can explain them in any meaningful way. This is probably more for the Slowing Your Roll universe, where their relationship is less trusting.I tend to
