Uhm… I don’t really know how to ask this… How did you “practise” on writing smut? How did you learn how to write it?

Oh dear, I’m afraid I’m probably not the best person to ask about this. I haven’t written a lot of smut, and what I have written has mostly been improvised. I wouldn’t say I ever really had much practice per se. I learned a lot from other smut writers, and that’s probably where I got most of inspiration from.
I can strongly recommend @megalotrash @sesurescue @agraulisvanillae and @askellie as proficient smut writers (there are actually hundreds I could recommend but these are the few that came to mind). They all have fairly different styles as well, if you’re looking for variety. (The last two definitely contain some pretty intense angst though, so be careful there).
I hope this helps! I’m sorry, I’m not quite the most adept at writing smut.

You and your gold skulls. (I can’t judge though, I love hurting these two as well).

“How much would they be willing to sacrifice for the other? Any lines they refuse to cross?”

At first – there’s not much they’d sacrifice for each other. While Edge may have a bit of a ‘hero complex’, and would probably risk his safety to keep Stretch safe if he was in serious danger – it would probably take a bit more time for him to do so for the right reasons. But Edge would be quick to develop a protective instinct around Stretch. He would sacrifice his life for Stretch. Literally. If necessary, he would die to keep Stretch alive and safe.

That being said, there are lines Edge would never cross, even for the people he loves. He would never compromise on his morals. If Stretch demanded or requested something of him that Edge found to be unethical, or even just something that didn’t align with his beliefs or standards, he would not do it. And perhaps something else he’d never do for Stretch is change who he is. This would be a definite tremor in their relationship. Stretch might try to encourage Edge to be more open about his feelings – which he might be, to an extent. But he would never change his lifestyle (unless circumstances permitted it) – this includes killing to survive, something that will always bother Stretch.

Stretch is much the same when it comes to sacrificing his life. That being said however… Stretch doesn’t place much value on his own life. It’s rather easy for him to presume to throw it away. In more extreme cases, Stretch might also sacrifice his own mental health for Edge’s sake. He might do things that make him uncomfortable, simply to show Edge how far he’s willing to go for him (it comes out of the innate Papyrus desire to please, Stretch is just a little more subtle about it).

There aren’t many lines Stretch wouldn’t cross for Edge. At first, he might be a little more hesitant to breach boundaries – or even show much true affection – towards Edge. But as time passes, he becomes utterly dedicated to Edge (not in the sense that he won’t leave his side, more that he’ll be there for Edge pretty much upon demand. Stretch likes feeling useful, and helping Edge through rough times is one of his favourite ways to do this).

But, with all this said, Stretch refuses to budge on his more unhealthy habits just for Edge’s sake. Smoking, emotional self-harm, the occasional self-deprecating joke (which Edge hates). Edge tries his best to pry Stretch away from his self-destructive habits, but Stretch is very stubborn, and Edge often gives up trying to budge him (at least temporarily. He’ll never give up entirely on trying to help Stretch improve himself).

42. “Do they let each other get away with things that would normally bother them?”

Yes, but they’re not very good at hiding that it bothers them.

There are a lot of things Edge refuses to allow Stretch to do – things that he deems to be morally ambiguous. Fortunately, Stretch isn’t a particularly malicious person, so there isn’t much Edge has to worry about from him. Perhaps one thing that bothers him (but something he would never get involved in) is the way Stretch treats his brother. It’s not… bad, per se, but Edge doesn’t quite approve. Stretch tends to get a little overprotective of Blue sometimes, and Edge can tell that Blue is less than pleased by this. But he refuses to intrude on familial matters. He may try to mention it to Stretch on occasion, but it often goes right over Stretch’s head, so Edge tends to let it drop.

Stretch of course, utterly detests Edge’s Underfell lifestyle. He hates that Edge has to kill – or even just threaten or intimidate – other monsters. He doesn’t like seeing the so-called ‘Fell’ side of Edge. But there isn’t much he can do about it. He understands that it is a necessary part of Edge’s life, so he seldom interferes. (Often though, when Edge is sporting some fresh new EXP, Stretch might avoid him for a few days. It’s a definite flaw of their relationship, as these are the times Edge needs Stretch most.)

This actually didn’t turn out as angsty as I expected. Don’t worry though, I have plenty of angst coming up for these two hehe.

Thank you for sending this in! This is the last one, hooray! (It only took me about a month).

2, 3, 8, 23, 39 for the relationship and the pair is SF Sans x UT Sans I know it’s a rare shipping but I love these too together and I’m also Sorry for the many numbers, I hope I did not make your time harder with these

Not a problem at all! I like these two, as well!

Also, I’m so sorry I’ve taken so long with these eek! I almost forgot about them, and then I went through one of those ‘no motivation’ slumps. So this is just me trying to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully I’ll have more content for you all soon!

2. “How’s their team work? Do they share well?”

I think that, rather than working ‘as a team’, these two would try and challenge each other. Even on small things. Sans might try to irk Razz by “making things difficult for him” (not to an extreme extent, but more in ways that might set the short-tempered skeleton off, much to Sans’ amusement). And Razz certainly wouldn’t sit by idly and let it happen. He’d do everything in his power to get back at Sans. Sans is a difficult skeleton to figure out, but Razz is very determined, and once he’s able to determine Sans’ peeves, he’d take full advantage of them.

When it comes to sharing, Sans isn’t very fussy. But naturally, this annoys Razz. He sort of thinks that Sans should care that Razz got to choose the movie twice in a row, or that Razz had the last slice of cake, or that Sans offered to sleep on the couch when there was only one bed. Ultimately, they’re both pretty selfless when it comes to trivial things.

3.
“Are they open about their relationship? How do they feel about public displays of affection?”

The short answer? Absolutely not.

To elaborate, neither of them are very accustomed to displaying affection. Razz is especially pent up, and might worry that any kind of feelings for Sans would be a sign of weakness. And Sans is no better. He likes to play himself off as the cool, carefree comedian, but he struggles a little around Razz (partly because Razz throws him off a little, and he often feels like he needs to step in to keep him in check).

As time goes on, they might grow a little more used to each other’s company, and small gestures might become instinctual without them realising it. Still, if either of them catch themselves doing it, they’d immediately stop.

8.
“What do the like best about their partner?”

Razz likes that Sans is a bit of a mystery to him. At first, this aspect of Sans’ personality would definitely teeter him. From a survival perspective, not knowing someone who could potentially be your enemy is a very dangerous thing. But Razz grows to like this. He normally tends to find the Tale ‘verse skeletons boring, but Sans is just the right amount of “creepy” to keep him on his feet – while providing him with some relief from the harsh demeanours of Fell monsters.

As for Sans – at first – nothing. He doesn’t trust Razz. He doesn’t like how unkind and tart he is. He doesn’t like the way Razz walks – that stupid strut and the way he sways his hips as if he’s trying to irritate Sans. Or that stupid smirk of his. Or the way he sounds when he actually laughs (especially when it’s at one of Sans’ jokes, which he certainly doesn’t make just to try and make Razz laugh). Or…

Okay, there are some things Sans likes about Razz. But he’ll never admit them to himself. He might claim that he dates Razz ‘out of spite’. Deep down though, he does see a small part of Razz that he admires. Razz isn’t kind, nor is he generous, or compassionate… or at least, he tries very hard not to be. Sans isn’t normally very competitive, but he almost takes it as a challenge to make Razz – who is normally so cold and stony – laugh. He really likes Razz’s laugh.

23. “How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?”

As I stated before, displays of affection aren’t really their thing. Their hugs are few and far between, and the ones that they do share are often brief. But… every now and then, Sans can tell that Razz needs a little comfort – and vice versa. In those rare cases, their hugs are long, quiet, and gentle.

Kissing is a bit of a weapon for both of them. Before they start dating, they might try and kiss each other to throw each other off. The novelty of ‘the surprise’ wears off pretty quickly though, and they soon start kissing just because they enjoy it. Razz likes rough kissing, but Sans is the opposite, and he’s pretty good at getting Razz to wind down and take things slowly.

Razz thinks he’s the ultimate tease, but in truth, his flirting isn’t quite up to scratch. He might have a few dirty one-liners ready to throw Sans’ way, but he gets flustered too quickly when Sans throws them right back at him. Sans is a surprisingly smooth flirt, he just seldom brings it out. He’s a master of manipulation, and could have Razz eating out of his palm… if it didn’t take so much effort. Mostly he just compliments Razz’s ass (and it’s enough).

39. “Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first?  When did they realise they were in love?”

Neither of them really initiated the relationship. It sort of just… happened. If you really had to pick one of them, I’d probably have to say it would be Razz, but perspectives differ.

Razz was extremely persistent. (I sort of wrote a bit of a drabble about this a while ago), but I like to headcanon that Razz asks Sans out as a dare, and Sans goes with it out of spite (and partly because he finds flustered Razz very amusing). And as far as their first kiss goes, neither of them are really sure who initiated it. Once again, it sort of comes out of a dare. Razz is very spiteful, and would never back down from a dare. However, he’d probably get nervous at the last minute and try to back out – but Sans would help him take that final step.

When it comes to love with these two, I don’t think it would be a ‘realisation’. They might quietly admit to to themselves, but it’s unlikely they’d voice it for a very long time. The occasional “I love you” might start slipping into their conversations, but there would never be a “confession” as such.

As I wrote this, I realised that Rottenjoke is sort of the Spicyhoney of Sanscest. Good Ship™. Thank you!

(I just have one more to go now, I’m sorry I’ve taken so long with these!)
