some fluffy headcanons beneath the cut:
He has a huge problem with crowds. If he has to go through a crowd, he’ll usually put a hand on Twist’s shoulder and let the dragon clear the way. Edge will keep close behind him and protect him from being grabbed or touched. He’s gotten a lot better over time, but being trapped in a big crowd or being touched by strangers is a very easy way to give him a panic attack.
Summary: Edge is ready to go home. Mostly. Of course he’s ready to go home. There’s nothing he’s going to miss in Underswap, not a thing. He’ll keep telling himself that until he believes it.

So. I’m going to level with you all. I got back from vacation and basically had my ass kicked at work. It was not a good week, and much of my motivation has been taken from me. Your support has meant more than you know, guys. Even if I haven’t answered your comment yet, it means so much to me.
Unfortunately, this means I will not have a proper chapter out for you guys. LC and CF are both mentally draining in a way that I am not up to right now.

Man, this is stunning. The contrast between these two scenes is perfect. The symbolism is just incredible too. I’ve come to think of Cash and Plum as the “swap” of Twist and Blackberry, and that’s reflected beautifully here. And Plum’s ghost? That memory nearly strangling Cash? It’s so perfect.
