let’s talk about Papyrus

first of: of course Papyrus wouldn’t willingly kill someone. that’s why, in the post, i specifically said ‘forced’. as in made to do it, against his own will. next time, do please read a post properly before you respond

secondly: Papyrus isn’t stupid. he’s not a child. he’s not some naive poor little thing. Papyrus beats up a child, gladly and cheerily, and then puts them in his shed. Papyrus wouldn’t kill someone, but he’s no innocent baby

thirdly: like fuck Papyrus would believe something that stupid. firstly, monsters need their souls to survive. it is basically their heart. Papyrus would not ever fall for something that’s so contradictory to something so basic a fact. secondly, just because ‘one work’ suggest something would happen doesn’t mean it makes any sense

fourthly: stop trying to make Papyrus some kind of innocent baby. stop infantilising him. he’s an adult. he’s clever and powerful, and can take care of himself. he’s not a baby. he’s not stupid

this fandom has a huge ass problem with treating Papyrus like a prop, like a damsel in distress for Sans to save. and the truth is, that makes no sense for canon. in the game Papyrus takes care of himself. he’s not stupid. he’s not a child. and yet, in fandom, that’s all he is. a stupid little baby whose only purpose is to make Sans look good. and it’s tiring as fuck
