*whispering* I know I’m not the first person to consider this but Human!Mettaton is an opportunity for good representation of amputees in a fictional character. Evidence:
Buthas anyone also considered:
And there’s also:
For someone who may struggle with physical, medical, or psychological disabilities/disorders, here’s a character who perseveres and can find success and happiness.
side-note: my art style will never stay consistent. I can’t help it. >-<
Intent is exceptionally important in monster society. It defines the difference between play fighting and true combat. It’s infused into the food they prepare, imbuing it with healing (or toxic) properties. It’s even knit into the very fabric of their clothing. Every stitch, every fold is infused with the intent of the monster making it. A skilled fabricator can even create clothing that boosts a monster’s stats, though this clothing is exceptionally expensive—particularly in the Fell-verses.
Sans isn’t quite that skilled…but while he’s making his brother’s battle body, he reflects on how much he cares for his brother, how much he wants him to be happy and healthy and safe. His love seeps into the costume as he makes it, and when Papyrus puts it on, he can sense his brother’s love and care. It makes him feel protected, cared for. It makes him feel special.
He can’t bring himself to take it off, in fact. Can’t bear to be parted from the reminder of just how much his brother cares.
Synopsis: Every realisation feels new and terrifying, even though Papyrus has the dreadful feeling maybe all of this has happened before.
My entry for @undertailfanficcontest, in the GORE category! BD Mind the warnings, although this didn’t end up quite as extreme as I wanted. (I ran out of words. This nearly hit the 6K limit for the contest.)
Content Warnings: Implications of Swapcest and HoneyMustard, though neither are explicit. Yandere Swap!Sans; graphic descriptions of illness (vomiting), violence, injuries, broken bones. Less graphic descriptions of amputated limbs, torture.
ASKELLIE won the Gore category of the Undertale fanfiction contest.
