Aaah, okay. I’m not very good at these things, but I’ll do my best. (It’s a bit sad, but I really struggled to come up with 5). Some of these are a bit personal, so I’ve put them under the cut.
1. My writing. I enjoy writing very much, so one of my favourite things to do is to go back and read over what I’ve written. I still have a lot of room for improvement, but I’m (relatively) happy with a lot of the stuff I’ve produced.
2. My cleanliness. Okay, this one sounds a bit weird (and it’s a bit of a love-hate relationship), but I actually like how tidy I am. It more comes out of a need to have things organised (the hate part of the relationship comes in when I get frustrated over things being messy). But I like it, because it helps me organise my thoughts as much as it helps me organise my environment. (Plus, I think–or at least, I hope–it makes me an easier person to live with?)
3. My generosity. This sounds like I’m bragging, so I really don’t like to put it on the list (but I was struggling to come up with stuff, so…), but I like to think that I’m a fairly selfless person – or at least, I try very hard to be.
4. My passion. I have a tendency to latch onto things I enjoy – hobbies, TV shows, food, anything. It can become a bit of a problem, because sometimes I let my interests consume me completely and I ignore a lot of other important things I should also be doing. But I really love just being able to completely give myself over to a passion of mine. It makes it a lot more enjoyable.
5. My intelligence. Gghh, this one sounds like another brag. But I really like how I’m often able to excel mental challenges. I did very well at school, and I’m doing fairly well at university too. I’m often inclined to being a bit lazy though, but I tend to pick things up fairly quickly, which is something I like about myself. It gives me something to fall back on when I just can’t muster the energy to put in the work. (A very bad mentality though heh).
Ah dang it. I know this is supposed to be about
positivity, but this would have been a lot easier if it asked for 5 things I don’t like about myself (or rather, things I’d like to improve about myself). I know this isn’t the point of the post, but I think one of my greatest flaws is my constant need for improvement (even where it isn’t due). I think this is something I…. *sigh* need to improve on (hehe).
Sorry, don’t listen to my negativity! This was difficult, but I think it was a good exercise. Thank you for sending it to me, Kit!
